Europe’s football governing body UEFA will pay France €14 million for winning this year’s Nations League.
UEFA will also pay runners-up Spain €9million for losing the UEFA Nations League final to France Sunday, Bolavip reports.
France defeated Spain 2-1 in the final at San Siro on Sunday evening courtesy of goals from Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe after La Roja had shot ahead through Mikel Oyarzabal.
Earlier in the third/fourth place encounter played at the Juventus Stadium, Italy defeated Belgium 2-1 to claim the third position.
UEFA will pay Italy €8million for finishing third place, while Belgium will get €7million for finishing fourth place.
