National leader of the All progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, returned to Nigeria on Tuesday amid swirling rumours about his death.
The former governor of Lagos State was reportedly in France for medical care as he is said to be battling ailments associated with old age. He clocked 69 years on March 29.
Tinubu was conspicuously absent when President Muhammadu Buhari commissioned the Lagos-Ibadan standard guage last Thursday.
The veteran politician has travelled out of the country at least three times in the last one year, leading to concerns over his health.
Tinubu is widely believed to be interested in running for presidency in 2023, with online campaigns and posters splattered across the country.
