Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka has received his first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine presently being administered across the country.
Soyinka’s jab was administered by Tomi Coker, Ogun state commissioner for health, on Friday.
This was disclosed by Olaokun, Soyinka’s son, in a post via his Twitter handle Friday, enjoining everyone to stay safe.

Nigeria last week commenced its Covid-19 vaccination with President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo among the first to receive the vaccine.
Afterwards, the president called on Nigerians to avail themselves the opportunity to get vaccinated, assuring that there were no side effects in the process.
