Prodemocracy campaigner Omoyele Sowore, has accused the Nigeria Police Force of trying to frustrate his family after his younger brother was shot dead in Edo state.
Sowore raised the alarm in a post via his Facebook account on Wednesday.
The publisher of Sahara Reporters alleged that the Nigeria Police Force is charging them exorbitantly to “discourage” them from getting an autopsy for his murdered brother, Olajide Sowore.
“Nigeria Police Force is trying to shake my family down by charging us exorbitantly to discourage us from getting an autopsy for my murdered brother, Olajide Sowore! Shame on Nigeria!” he wrote.
Olajide was shot dead by suspected armed Fulani herdsmen on Saturday in Edo State.
The activist said his sibling was shot and killed near Okada in Edo State on his way from Igbinedion University, where he was studying Pharmacy.
The Edo State police command had vowed to bring the perpetrators of the dastardly act to book.
