The governor of Anambra state, Prof Charles Soludo has come under heavy attack after his statement concerning the ambition of Peter Obi to become the next president of the country.
Soludo had released a long vituperative statement to clamour against Obi’s ambition, while blasting his followers that call themselves ‘Obidients’ due to the mob attack they employ against anyone that seems to be against Obi’s ambition.
Following the statement by the governor, Obidients have taken to Twitter to call Soludo out for his surprising outburst.

Whether you support Peter Obi or not, every Igbo person should be embarrassed by Soludo's tirade. Ọ sọ anyị enweghị ike idozi onwe anyị n'unọ?

Whenever I want to get upset about what people say or write about Peter Obi, I seek solace in the words of Aurelius ‘When a bunch of known corrupt people unite against one man & spare no attempt to assassinate his character, blindly follow that one man!’
Soludo needs to grow up!

The most interesting part of this thing is that in all Soludo's rants, he didn't accuse Peter Obi of drug trafficking, looting, misappropriation of funds or nepotistic leadership. He's just angered by the national acceptance of Peter Obi.

Soludo that is not even a regional leader yet, can’t hide his toxic jealousy for Peter Obi. His retirement is at the door waiting for him.

That Soludo’s article is utterly shameless, lacking in dignity, reeks of envy, bile and jealousy, provocative, and insulting.
Referencing someone as Hitler, calling people Nazis? Words elude me. 💔

“Peter Obi cannot win” is stale. We moved past that months ago. So, Soludo needs to come up with something else.
Obi is in the race to win. Even if he doesn’t win, his participation would have deepened our nascent democracy.

Gov @PeterObi Please do not ask us your support base not to address @CCSoludo ‘s comment. He said he is your friend and kinsman, but that article was nothing short of venomous, toxic and a poor attempt to ridicule your accomplishments.
We will respond aggressively! We apologize
