Ronaldo flies with Man United for second Champions League debut

Cristiano Ronaldo has flown out with the Manchester United squad on Monday, ahead of their Champions League fixture against Young Boys.

The Red Devils begin their quest for European glory with an away group game against the Swiss club.

Ronaldo, who scored twice on his second debut against Newcastle, was spotted among those travelling.

This comes amid Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s comments that the 36-year-old will be rested for some of their games.

Solskjaer had said: “No, it’s not impossible to leave him out. He is 36.

“Mason (Greenwood) is 19, so it’s the same. I have to manage his minutes and I have to manage a 36-year-old’s minutes as well.”

It is not yet certain if Ronaldo will start the game, with a tricky tie against West Ham this weekend.
