Nike has sued internet collective MSCHF for selling “unauthorized Satan Shoes” in collaboration with rapper Lil Nas X.
Recall that MSCHF released exclusive customized “Satan Shoes”, a tribute to Lil Nas X’s latest single, “Montero,” which got the world talking for more than four days.
Yesterday, “Satan Shoes” sold out in less than a minutes; the shoes were sold for $1018 per pair, and Lil Nas took to his page to celebrate the feat.
Now, Nike has sued MSCHF after folks took to their social media to denounce the product.
However, this is not the first time MSCHF will be customizing Nike shoes. It is known for stunt products like its 2019 “Jesus Shoes” that sold for $1,425 a pair of white Nike Air Max 97s with custom stitching and 60ccs of water from the River Jordan.
Nike had no problem with the Jesus Shoes, but now has with the SAtan Shoes because folks aren’t happy with it.
