Music Group, ABBA Reunites For the First After 40 Years

Swedish pop group, ABBA has reunited for the first time in 40 years.

On Thursday, September 2, the ‘Mamma Mia’ crooners consisting of Benny Anderson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Agnetha Fältskog, and Björn Kristian Ulvaeus, announced their next album Voyage, as well as debuted two new songs from the project.

ABBA began teasing the big news earlier this week, sharing previews of their new music on Instagram and even joining TikTok. “The future of ABBA begins today,” one post promised.

The ‘Dancing Queen’ performers went on to share that ‘Voyage’ will consist of 10 new tracks, including two singles—’I Still Have Faith in You’ and ‘Don’t Shut Me Down’—that are available now.

ABBA will also be reuniting for a “revolutionary” concert experience. On May 27, 2022, digital avatars of the foursome will perform the ABBA Voyage concert with a 10-piece band at London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. According to a press release, it took “weeks and months of motion-capture and performance techniques” to create the holograms. Fans can get a glimpse of what to expect from the concert in the ‘I Still Have Faith in You’ video.

Voyage will debut on November 5.
