Messi now has a combined 1127 goals and assists to surpass Pele’s record of most goal contributions in football history.
The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner achieved the feat after scoring a brace and providing a brace of assists in PSG’s Champions League 7-2 win over Maccabi Haifa at the Parc Des Princes.
