Mercy Eke Wants You All to Know She is “Proudly Igbotic”

Mercy Eke is proud of her Igbo accent.

The reality TV start released a vlog yesterday in which she talked about her top five handbag (which in includes her Hermes Birkins). While many people had kind things to say, some detractors decided to hopped onto social media to mock her accent, calling her “Igbotic.”

And this is why Mercy Eke has tweeted her pride in her heritage. “Proudly Igbotic,” she wrote, and continued in a response to a fan: “Wear it like a crown, for the culture. The narrative is changing, shoutout to the new school of strong Nigerian youths. Igbotic.”
