While Prince Harry will travel to the UK for his grandfather, Prince Philip’s burial, Meghan Markle will not be making the trip.
The pregnant Duchess of Sussex who is expecting a daughter with her husband has been advised by doctors not to fly to the UK.
Prince Harry who stepped away from royal duties last year and exited the UK over alleged unfair treatment of his wife, will attend his funeral along with other members of the royal family.
During the burial which is slated for Saturday, April 17, Prince Philip’s coffin will be processed through Windsor Castle, royal officials confirmed.
The funeral will be held at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle at 3 p.m. U.K. time (10 a.m. ET) and will be broadcast live.
A palace spokesperson revealed that the royal family plans to take into consideration the country’s COVID guidelines and the ceremony will be “much reduced in scale with no public access.”
The late royal who died on Friday, April 9 at ninety nine years old, is currently lying at rest at Windsor Castle.
