Mary Remmy has raised concerns about the increasing number of ‘IJGB’ (I Just Got Back) plastic surgeons in the country.
The filmmaker was reacting to the death of a certain young woman who was alleged to have bled to death following a BBL and liposuction procedure in one of the cosmetic surgery clinics in Lagos.
Njoku pointed out some very salient observations including asking why these doctors who school abroad return home to charge 70% less of what their international colleagues would charge for the same procedure.
She denied this move as being altruistic on their parts and implied that most of then return because they can roam free in Nigeria, butcher and murder people on their operating tables without repercussions.
