Mary Remmy Njoku believes no one is doing the other a favour in a partnership especially as it concerns chores, raising kids and supporting the family financially.
The filmmaker took to Instagram to berate women who praise their husbands for raising the kids and doing chores around the house.
She noted that these things are the responsibility of both partners and doing them just makes the individual a good parent/partner but not necessarily deserving of high praise.
Remmy Njoku who recently renewed her marriage vows with husband of 10 years, also said that a woman contributing financially to the home is not doing the husband a favour as it is her home too. However, if a partner does something specifically for the other that has no implication on the family as a whole unit, that is when he/she is being selfless and should be praised for their actions.
