The organisers of MTV Video Music Awards scheduled to hold on September 12 has confirmed that Lorde’s appearance has been canceled.
Writing on their Twitter, the organisers claimed it was “due to a change in production elements.”
“Lorde can no longer perform,” the VMAs continued, adding, “We love Lorde and cannot wait for her to perform on the VMA stage in the future!”
Lorde’s Solar Power only dropped last month, and her video for the title track is nominated for Best Cinematography at the VMAs.
