Congratulations to Kemi Adetiba and her team!
The filmmaker has just announced that the much-anticipated King of Boys sequel will no longer be a sequel, rather a Netflix original series. And this has stirred a hearty celebration on Twitter.
“You can now confidently set your reminders & refresh your NETLFIX accounts,” she wrote, and revealed the release date of the next in series of the much-loved story: “KOB 2 is officially landing on August 27th, 2021. No going back.”
And then, she spilled it all: “KOB 2 is no longer called KING OF BOYS 2. Why? Cos it’s not a FILM. It’s NETFLIX’S FIRST ORIGINAL SERIES OUT OF NIGERIA & a 7-PART.”
