Irate youths have cordoned vehicular movements at the Suleja end of the popular Abuja-Kaduna Expressway.
The aggrieved youths, predominantly from villages adjoining the highway, say they are carrying out the demonstration to protest against incessant attacks by bandits and kidnappers on their communities.
They are reportedly angered by a fresh attack in the area during which at least 12 people were abducted in Gauraka town on Monday.
This comes bare a week after a similar attack in Kwakwashi community saw one person killed and 13 residents kidnapped.
Many parts in the outskirts of Niger state are under the control of bandits and Boko Haram terrorists, with military bases sacked and police posts overrun.
The terrorists have reportedly hoisted flags in these places.
