All charges against the late Breonna Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, have been dismissed by a judge with the Jefferson County Circuit Court.
Walker who was accused of shooting a police officer in 2020 when they bust into Breonna’s apartment during a raid, had the charges dismissed with prejudice.
Kenneth Walker was charged with assault and attempted murder of Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly whom he had shot in the leg.
In his defence, he had insisted that he was not aware that the officers were at the door before they made their way inside.
The charges against Kenneth Walker had been previously dropped in May 2020 but without prejudice, which means they could have been refiled if new information came to light.
However on Monday, they were dropped once again but this time with prejudice, hence, the charges cannot be refiled.
Breonna Taylor had lost her life during the raid of her apartment by police officers and for the first time in October 2020, her boyfriend spoke out in his first interview since the shooting.
