One of the foremost radio stations in Nigeria, Beat FM is 12 years old today.
Toolz Oniru-Demuren who has risen through the ranks to become the Programme Director for all Beat FM stations across the country, celebrated the anniversary on her Instagram stories.
Toolz revealed that her gig with the station was her first radio job ans she didn’t think she would last beyond three months talk less of a year when she came on.
However from a presenter to Deputy Programme Director to Programme Director, she has risen through the ranks just as the company as continued to grow.
“The #BeatFam legacy continues!
Crazy to think that the radio station I’ve been part of from the very beginning just turned 12!
My first ever radio job, I actually didnt think I would last 3 months let alone a year…and almost a whole teenager later I’ve gone from Presenter to Deputy Programme Director to Group Programme Director of the 4 Beat FM stations in Nigeria.
“What a journey!
A massive thank you to our amazing listeners and the many agencies and brands that help keep the Beat alive!!!” She wrote.
