Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has commiserated with prodemocracy campaigner Omoyele Sowore, over the death of his brother, Olajide Sowore.
In a rather sad turn Saturday, Sowore’s brother was gunned down in the Okada area of Edo State.
Before his death, the younger Sowore was a student of Pharmacy at the Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State.
The Governor in a statement assured that the state government will work with relevant security agencies to investigate the unfortunate incident.
He assured that no stone will be left unturned to bring the culprits to book.
Part of the statement read: “I commiserate with the Sowore family and the Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, over the death of his brother, Olajide Sowore.
“The news of Olajide’s death is so heartbreaking and we will make all efforts to bring the perpetrators of the dastardly act to justice.”
