Game of Thrones star, Esmé Bianco has filed a lawsuit against Marilyn Manson, demanding an unspecified amount in damages.
The actress is alleging sexual, physical, physiological and emotional abuse during the period of her relationship with the goth rock icon.
Bianco who details graphic abuse in her suit, is claiming that Marilyn Manson (real name Brian Warner) “used drugs, force, and threats of force to coerce sexual acts from her on multiple occasions” and “raped Ms. Bianco in or around May 2011.”
The suit maintains that Manson used a combination of abuse and manipulation and empty promises of employment and threats to her career, all resulting in a loss of professional opportunities and long-lasting trauma. Bianco is asking for a trial by jury and unspecified compensatory damages.
These allegations come on the heels of several other women including actress, Evan Rachel Wood, accusing the rockstar of abuse during their relationships with him.
In a statement released by Bianco, she said;
“For far too long my abuser has been left unchecked, enabled by money, fame and an industry that turned a blind eye.
“Despite the numerous brave women who have spoken out against Marilyn Manson, countless survivors remain silenced, and some of their voices will never be heard. My hope is that by raising mine I will help to stop Brian Warner from shattering any more lives and empower other victims to seek their own small measure of justice.”
Lawyer for Manson, Howard King, responded to the lawsuit with this statement:
“These claims are provably false. To be clear, this suit was only filed after my client refused to be shaken down by Ms. Bianco and her lawyer and give in to their outrageous financial demands based on conduct that simply never occurred. We will vigorously contest these allegations in court and are confident that we will prevail.”
Esme Bianco and Marilyn Manson met in 2005 and after Manson’s divorce from Dita Von Tease in 2007, he reached out to her.
Prior to the pair starting to date in 2009, Bianco alleged that Manson had beaten, drugged, attempted to rape and deceived her. She noted that the abuse continued during their relationship.
Manson responded to the allegations levelled against him via an Instagram in February.
“Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality. My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how — and why — others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth,” he stated.
