FG Says Covid-19 Vaccine is not Mandatory for Nigerians

Minister of State for Health, Olorunnimbe Mamora has stated the federal government’s stance on Covid-19 vaccination and Nigerians.

In an interview with Arise TV on Wednesday, Mamora disclosed that Nigerians will not be mandated by the federal government to take  the COVID-19 vaccination.

“Nothing will be made mandatory. It’s optional. The choice is yours. Nobody will be forced to take any vaccine,”

As for this becoming mandatory at a later date, the honourable minister noted that that decision will not be made by Nigeria.

However, he stated that  there’s a possibility that other countries of the world might request a Covid-19 vaccination certificate just like the Yellow Card certificate before allowing outsiders in.

Olorunnimbe Mamora said that of this happens, Nigeria may be influenced by a demand by countries for a certificate of vaccination, adding that “it may just be something that will become global.”
