Falz has joined the list of Nigerians who have taken to their social media to call out President Buhari for invoking the horror of the Biafran war on Nigerians.
In response to the spate of insecurity in the southern parts of Nigeria, the President reminded the younger generation of the havoc his generation wreaked during the 1967-1970 war, adding that he won’t waste time to mete out similar horror on Nigerians, especially the younger generation.
“Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand,” he tweeted.
And this has stirred heated reactions on social media, with majority of Nigerian accusing him of threatening Nigerians again with genocide, while others, like Falz, asked why he never used this same language to address the Boko Haram terrorist group.
He said, “What is this? Have you treated Boko Haram with the “language they understand”? What about the kidnappers & bandits ? Today you go London, tomorrow Paris. You are now coming here to tweet rubbish.”
