Donald Trump has already set plans in motion to launch his own social media which he calls, ‘Truth Social.”
Recall that the former American President got kicked out of Twitter earlier this year because of the misinformation he kept keeping on his massively-followed page. Now, he says that his social media platform called “Truth Social” will be run by his new company Trump Media and Technology Group, and it will be launched in 2022.
Deadline reports that a beta version will be available starting next month, and that the platform aims to “create a rival to the liberal media consortium and fight back against the Big Tech companies of Silicon Valley, which have used their unilateral power to silence opposing voices in America,” – a press release said.
And that’s not all, Trump is also planning on launching a subscription video service called “TMTG+” that will have “non-woke” content.
“I created Truth Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech,” the reality television star, who is also the chairman of TMTG, said in a statement.
An official from Trump’s administration told Politico that Trump went “ballistic” and was “scrambling to figure out” his options after being kicked off the platform, as the social media company said at the time, “due to the risk of further incitement of violence.”
We can’t wait to see how this and out.
