Barcelona are on the cusp of dropping down to the Europa League following a thrilling 3-3 draw with Inter Milan at the Nou Camp in Wednesday’s Champions League Group C fixture.
Inter were leading twice at Camp Nou only to be pegged back by a Robert Lewandowski brace, but the point still gives them a big advantage in the battle to reach the Champions League Round of 16.
All Inter have to do is beat Viktoria Plzen in the next game at home and they will mathematically be in the knockouts.
In Scotland, Liverpool hammered Rangers 7-1 with Mohamed Salah scoring the fastest hat-trick in the history of the Champions League.
After coming on in the 68th minute, Salah scored on 76, 80 and 81 minutes to strengthen Liverpool’s chance of progressing into the knockout stage.
The Reds are second in Group A on nine points, just three points behind Napoli who are already through to the next stage.
And in other results FC Porto beat Leverkusen 3-0 away, Viktoria Plzen lost 4-2 to Bayern, Marseille beat Sporting Lisbon 2-0, Tottenham Hotspur edged Frankfurt 3-2 while Atletico Madrid were held to a scoreless draw by Club Brugge.
