‘Buhari, you could have done better’ – Mixed reactions trail Buhari’s outfit on Imo visit

There’s been an array of reactions to the one-day working visit of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) to Imo State where he inaugurated some projects.

Buhari, who was received by dignitaries on his arrival at the Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri, was traditionally dressed in an Isiagu attire with a trouser to match.

But his outfit to the project inauguration caused a bit of stir and set tongues wagging on social media.

Public commentator and Buahri critic, Reno Omokri, chided that disgraced cop Abba Kyari might have been the president’s tailor.

He wrote on his verified Twitter page, “Dear Buhari

“Was it Kyari the that sewed this trouser? Trouser that looks like what you did to the Nigerian economy? Even prisoners wear better trousers.

“This looks like what a plumber sewed. Honestly, Buhari you could have done better!”

One Onwuha Ebuk, said; “I can see there are too much crowd welcoming Mr president, but before I forget DSS should arrest that tailor for sewing that kind of cloth for a whole first citizen of UAR sorry I mean Nigeria, and to be paraded immediately after which he will be facing some charges in the court tomorrow.”

Similarly, Anyanwu Timothy wrote, “Since Abba Kyari the tailor was indicted, Buhari’s trousers no dey make sense again…Whosever that sew that trouser for that old man is part of Nigeria’s problems.”

Drnkem Michael said; “The place of the Igbos in Nigeria’s politics should be a paramount point of discussion, as the governors of East meets with Mr. President. without the Igbos, there’s no Nigeria, those trying to keep the Igbos down in perpetuity, wants to end Nigeria.”

A certain Bruno Bacco expressed concerns that Buhari’s attire might have been sown by an IPOB agent.

He said, “The IPOB tailor is such a clown.”
