Buhari jets off to London for two-week medical trip

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), will on Tuesday proceed on a two-week medical trip to London in the United Kingdom.

This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina titled “President Buhari billed for routine medical check-up in London.”

Adesina stated that the president was expected back in the country in the second week of April after what he called “a routine medical check-up.”

“President Muhammadu Buhari proceeds to London, the United Kingdom, Tuesday, March 30, 2021, for a routine medical check-up.

“The President meets with Security Chiefs first in the morning, after which he embarks on the journey.

“He is due back in the country during the second week of April 2021.”

The president’s trip comes at a time that doctors under the aegis of Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors have declared their intention to embark on an industrial action over a slew of unpaid wages and allowances.
