Jamie Spears has finally been suspended from his position as conservator of his daughter’s Britney Spears’ estate.
According to The New York Times, this order was given by Judge Brenda Penny, who granted Britney Spears’ lawyer’s petition. “The current situation is not tenable,” Judge Penny said.
Britney petitioned for the conservatorship to come to an end earlier this month.
And speaking at a press conference after the hearing, Britney’s lawyer Rosengart noted, “I think she’s got a great future ahead of her. Monumental win for Britney, and for justice.”
Only in June, Spears gave a rare candid testimony about the conditions of the conservatorship, claiming she was being denied reproductive autonomy and was forced to work.
Fans are happy for her.
