Inigo Martinez powered home a late header as Athletic Bilbao beat leaders Atletico Madrid 2-1 to leave the LaLiga title race wide open.
Spanish midfielder Alex Berenguer scored early for the hosts but Stefan Savic looked to have rescued a point for the visitors with his first goal in four years.
There was however a late twist as Martinez scored an equally thumping header to beat Jan Oblak and leave Diego Simeone’s men stunned.
Following the result, Atletico remain two points above both Real Madrid and Barcelona, with Sevilla a point further back in fourth.
But Barca, 2-1 winners over Villarreal on earlier Sunday, have a game in hand and can go top by beating Granada in a rescheduled game on Thursday.
