Beyonce, Kanye West and Others Reportedly Made Millions from Jay-Z’s Tidal Sale

It looks like it was not only Jay-Z that got a major payday from his sale of Tidal to Jack Dorsey as other celebrities allegedly made bank.

Beyonce, Kanye West, Usher, Rihanna and twelve other celebrities made a whopping $8.9 million from the sale.

These folks were all co-owners, all receiving a 3% stake in the company which has translated to almost $9 million in the Jay-Z’s Twitter deal.

Days ago, ABC News reported that Jay-Z officially sold the majority stake of his streaming platform Tidal to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey in a $297 million deal. The hiphop billionaire not only made hundreds of millions in the deal, all of his celebrity co-owners also netted multi-million dollar profit as well.

Jack Dorsey acquired the majority stake in Tidal in an effort to expand his mobile payment company Square to both upcoming musicians, as well as established artists.
