Barcelona have shortlisted six managers to take over from the beleaguered head coach, Ronald Koeman.
This comes after a dismal run of results that trailed the sale of talismanic captain Lionel Messi to Paris St-Germain in the summer.
According to RAC1’s Gerard Moreno, Barcelona’s six-man shortlist for the job are Andrea Pirlo, Philip Cocu, Antonio Conte, Xavi Hernandez, Roberto Martinez and Joachim Low.
Ex-skipper Xavi is a favourite for the job, but is tied with his project at Qatari side Al Sadd.
The report added that the decision taken by Barcelona is currently pending official announcement and will be publicized when a name out of those shortlisted is confirmed.
Koeman’s apparent end at the Camp Nou has come after Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Granada in the LaLiga on Monday.
Barcelona needed a late goal from Ronald Araujo to rescue a point after Domingos Duarte had scored for the visitors in the first half.
Barca are currently seventh on the LaLiga table with eight points after four games.
