After her prolonged hiatus from social media, Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari has returned to taunt the country’s Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Ali Isa Pantami.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, the First Lady shared a video showing Pantami shedding tears during an Islamic sermon.
The minister burst into tears after his reciter read a verse from the Holy Quran.
According to the video, the reciter read from Surah Maryam, Verse 63 which says, “That is the Garden we shall give as their own to those of Our servants who were devout.”
In response, an emotional Pantami cried out saying, “O Allah! Make me one of them. O Allah! Make me one of them!”
Aisha Buhari then captioned the video, “A chire tsoro a yi abinda ya dace” which loosely translates into “Be courageous to do the right thing.”
It is unclear why the First Lady posted this video, which is currently generating attention on social media.
The post comes three weeks after Pantami joined Yusuf, her son, with Zahra Bayero, at Bichi Central mosque in Kano, with a host of dignitaries in attendance.
