Adesua Etomi and Banky W Open Up on Infertility Journey

Adesua Etomi and Banky W are proud parents to their son, Zaiah but the road to getting there was fraught with many challenges.

The Nollywood sweethearts opened up on their infertility journey during the Easter Sunday Service at The Water Brook Church.

Adesua shared that eleven months and a few days into marriage when she was yet to get pregnant, they decided to opt for IVF. The IVF was successful and she became pregnant with twins.

However towards the end of the first tirmester, a routine scan showed that the babies had no heartbeat and by the next week, the embryos were decaying so she had to undergo an evacuation.

Adesua Etomi and Banky W described the period as agonising and it wasn’t made any easier with constant trolling online.

The couple went on to undergo two IVF procedures after the first one but none took. They also considered surrogacy but later decided against it.

However, in May of 2020, during the Hallelujah challenge, Adesua Etomi conceived and back in January, they welcomed their son.
