Prof Charles Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has won the highest votes in Aguata LGA of Anambra state.
The APGA candidate defeated Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after Saturday’s poll.
All three frontrunners in the Anambra governorship election are from Aguata, in Anambra South.
Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), polled 9,136 votes to defeat the other contenders.
The returning officer said the total number of registered voters in Aguata LGA is 14,4766.
He said while 20,809 voters were accredited, 20,202 voted. According to him, 19,548 votes were valid and 654 were rejected.
