Tagbo’s Death: Davido Rants After Police Re-invite Him for Questioning

By  |

Davido is very upset with the turn the investigation of Tagbo’s death is taking.

Posting on his Instagram last night, the singer blamed the ongoing drama on his generosity, saying he is tempted to become a changed person, and he also blamed the media for dragging his name in the mud.

🙏🏽 God is good. Everyone please be safe. One love

This outburst comes hours after the Lagos police re-invited him for questioning.

In case you missed the latest development: the acting Police Commissioner Imohimi Edgal during a press briefing Wednesday afternoon, noted that an autopsy was conducted revealing that the late Tagbo was suffocated, and he added that Davido has been re-invited for questioning. The acting commissioner went on to add that Tagbo was abandoned in the car at the hospital by Davido’s driver Tunde Usutu and two of his friends, Agbeje Olaoye and Idris Busari. The three persons are currently in police custody.

He further stated that Davido lied when he said he only knew of Tagbo’s death while he was at the DNA club in Victoria Island, that it was for this reason the singer has been re-invite for questioning.

Reports added that the bartender of the club Davido’s team and Tagbo hung out confirmed that the deceased had “40 shots of tequila”, and that he “exhibited signs of drunkenness.”

Explaining why the singer has been re-invited for questioning, Edgal revealed that the vehicle used in dumping Tagbo’s corpse at the hospital (a white Toyota Hilux) was recovered from Davido’s residence at 7, Awoshika Street, Lekki Phase 1. And this debunks the singer’s claims that he did not know how the deceased got to the hospital.

Well, Davido is spitting fire on his social media, while Caroline Danjuma, whose outcry initiated this investigation, is presently keeping mum.
