Leeds United, who had Liam Cooper sent off at half-time, pulled off a stunning upset by beating Premier League leaders Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
It was an outstanding win for Marcelo Bielsa’s men who climb to ninth on the log – six points of the European places. City remain stuck on 74 points – 14 ahead of Manchester United who have two games in hand.
A goal at the end of each half from Stuart Dallas did the trick for the visitors, despite Ferran Torres’ strike 15 minutes from time to temporarily pull Pep Guardiola’s men level.
The players wore black armbands and there was a period of silence before the game for Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, who died Friday at the age of 99.
